What an Eligibility Assessment Tells You

An eligibility assessment answers one question before you spend anything: given your qualifications and documented experience, what professional title can you realistically be licensed under, and by which authority?

Why it comes first

Every stage after it — DataFlow, the examination, the licence itself — is scoped to the title you are assessed into. Getting that wrong means verifying credentials for the wrong category, preparing for the wrong exam, and discovering the mismatch after the money is spent.

What we look at

The degree and any postgraduate qualification, and whether they map to the category you want. The experience letters — not just the years, but whether they describe the clinical setting, patient group and duties in a way the authority can assess. Current registration and good standing in your country of practice. Any gaps in the practice history. And which emirate you intend to work in, since that decides the authority.

What you get

A plain answer on the title your evidence supports, what is missing or too weak, which authority applies, and whether an examination is likely or exemption is realistic. If the answer is that you do not yet qualify for the title you wanted, you get that plainly rather than after three months of process.

The Gap Between Applied-For and Assessed

The most common disappointment in UAE healthcare licensing is being assessed into a lower title than applied for. It is almost never arbitrary.

The postgraduate qualification does not match the specialty claimed. Authorities check the qualification against the title, not the job you held.

The experience letters describe a job, not a scope. Title and dates alone rarely support a senior title. Setting, patient group, procedures performed and reporting line are what make a letter evidence.

Years counted differently. Training years, part-time periods and non-clinical roles may not count towards the specialty experience the authority requires.

Gaps unexplained. A break in practice history raises a question, and an unanswered question is resolved conservatively.

What can be fixed beforehand

Most of it. Experience letters can be reissued with proper detail while you still have the relationship with the employer — which is far easier before you leave than two years after. That single step changes more assessment outcomes than anything else we do.
