Prepare Your Products for UAE Authority Approval
Product compliance is the foundation of a successful UAE product registration. Before a product is submitted to Dubai Municipality, MOHAP, EDE, MoIAT, or another authority, the business must confirm the correct category, product claims, label content, supporting documents, importer details, conformity requirements, and registration route.
PROXPAT helps importers, brand owners, manufacturers, distributors, e-commerce sellers, and trading companies reduce avoidable rejections by reviewing product readiness before submission and coordinating the required next steps.

Compliance Does Not End at Registration
Getting a product registered is the entry ticket. What follows is a set of continuing obligations that most importers only discover when something goes wrong.
Registration validity and renewal
Registrations carry a validity period and are renewed. A registration that lapses between shipments strands the next consignment at the port, and reinstating it is slower than renewing it would have been.
Variations
Any change to the formulation, the manufacturing site, the packaging, the labelling or the claims requires the registration to be updated. A change made quietly and discovered at inspection is treated very differently from one filed in advance — the first is a compliance breach, the second is routine paperwork.
Market surveillance
Authorities inspect products already on sale, checking that what is on the shelf matches what was registered. Label artwork that drifted between print runs is a common finding, and one nobody intended.
Recalls and withdrawals
Where a product has to be withdrawn, there are notification obligations and timeframes. Having a documented procedure in place before you need it is the difference between a managed withdrawal and an enforcement matter.
Staying Compliant Across Multiple Emirates
Selling into more than one emirate can mean satisfying more than one authority, and their requirements are not identical.
A product registered federally is treated differently from one registered with a single municipality. Labelling requirements can differ. And the entity holding the registration must have the correct activity on its trade licence in each case — a mismatch between the licence and what is actually being distributed is one of the first things checked when a problem arises.
What we keep track of
Registration expiry dates against your shipping schedule, variations that need filing when a supplier changes something upstream, and whether the trade licence activity still covers what you are actually selling. That last one drifts more often than people expect — product ranges expand faster than licences get amended.
See our product registration and import and distribution approval services for the stages before this.
Please note: renewal periods, variation procedures, surveillance practice and recall obligations are set by the relevant UAE authority and are revised from time to time.
